return to project cars and trucks for sale

Ye Ole Rust Bucket collection

These rust buckets are beyond being for sale, but in their neglect they are once again beautiful and we wanted to share them with you.  Do you have a photo of a rust bucket you would like to share -- email it to us.

There's something lonely about these abandoned vehicles -- so lonely it's difficult to gaze upon them for very long.  At the same time, there's something beautiful about them, something that holds your gaze until it's too painful to keep looking.  This is my photo but the rest belong to other folks.

When I think back at all the magnificent abandoned cars and trucks I have seen over the years, I sincerely regret that I did not honor them by taking photos.  I carry my camera with me now no matter where I go -- in the Ozarks, scenes like this are many.

This old chevy truck abandoned in the lush vegetation was found at Jim Carter's Old Chevy Trucks.com.  Jim took his camera to a junkyard just to photograph such vehicles.

I'm using these photos to prime the pump so we can get more photos, from you, (and me).  Matter of fact, we're planning a trip around the backroads of Lake of the Ozarks this spring 2008.  I'll be posting photos from the trip -- project cars and rust buckets alike.

rust bucket preserved in the dry desert

This desert rust bucket beauty will probably be around when my grandchildren are full grown.  I wonder what happened to the driver and passengers. What happened here -- was this a mob chase or did someone just run out of gas and just walked away.
