The Hudson Motor Company manufactured Hudsons from 1909 to 1954. Hudson produced
quality vehicles and even Preston Tucker respected these cars.
The above photo is the dashboard of a 1929 Hudson Town Car Sedan. You can enlarge the photo to see the magnificent nickel-plated casting of Hudson's Rose Pattern.
The price of this car brand new in 1929 was $1,375. The car had a wood frame with aluminum body panels. 1942
introduced some major changes in the Hudson cars.
We have a 1941 Hudson touring car for sale -- that 1941 marks the end of a Hudson era and in 1942 Hudson souped
up the cars a bit and made other improvements.
But also in early 1942, due to World War II, Hudson, like many other auto manufacturers, had to cease car production
and work on military vehicles. No civilian cars were made between 1942 and 1945.
Wouldn't you just love to find a car manufactured in the United States during the War years. It would have had
to been made by hand in someone's backyard, which isn't impossible.
